This type of cancer is a rare type. Not many people are aware of such cancer. Each year the number of cases are growing .But the strange thing about it is that many people who are exposed to asbestos for long period will not get the disease but some who are exposed for little time can cause cancer. The person can acquire the cancer disease somewhere between 35to 50yrs of exposure There are two types Malignant cancer –cancerous caused disease in organs which ingested asbestos comes into contact Another is Non malignant cancer –scarring processes of respiratory tract . Now the question arises what is this cancer the term used to describe this is Mesothelioma that is a cancerous tumor found in the Mesothelial cells of an organ. The organs where these kind of cancer is found is lungs, heart , abdominal organs Pleural mesothelioma is cancer of the lung lining. This is the most common form of mesothelioma The Causesare - this is caused by Asbestos that is found in building material before the mid 1970’s fs. Another are also found in boiler insulation, pipes , floor ceiling and roof tiles may contain asbestos . Now the question arises how much exposure causes this cancer. It depends on length of time the person is exposed to such materials that causes it .The symptoms of this cancer must be known to you are pain in lower back and chest it may follow weight loss, fever, and difficulty in breathing. But if it develops the progress is aggressive. This can be treated as any cancer in the earlier stages. And the treatments is surgery ,chemotherapy and radiation. But the persons who are involved with asbestos causing things as described above, there are legal suites you can file when you get this cancer and ask for compensation from your employer . The history reveals The first lawsuite was filed in 1966 Beaumont Texas. The defendants were 11 manufacturers of asbestos –containing insulation products including Johns-manville,fibre board and owens corning fibreglas. The case proceeded to trial in 1969 and the verdict was returned in favour of asbestos company defendants.
